In the new “Fairytopia” DVD movie, Elina, the beautiful fairy from Fairytopia takes a journey to Mermaidia to save their prince and ward of the evil Laverna. Along the way, she gets help from several new friends, including this blue mermaid, Nori.

With just a little cold water, the mermaid’s secrets are revealed. Watch as her hair, torso and arms change color. Applicator included. Colors and decorations may differ from those shown. Dolls cannot stand or swim alone. Measures approximately 12″ tall.

The Barbie Fairytopia collection is enjoyed by pre-adolescent girls of all ages, as witnessed by my toddler aged granddaughter and eight and ten year-old nieces who love them. However, this particular doll, priced at .99 from Amazon almost two years ago when I bought it, is now almost twice that at .99. Why?

Although it is colorful, adored by little girls everywhere, and durable, this specific doll can be bought for much less new on eBay, and I imagine from other sellers as well. I also bought the Fairytopia Enchanted Meadow playset, as well as other collections of dolls, all which the girls absolutely loved. Recommended for little girls who want to be mermaids everywhere.
