Purchased as a gift for my adult daughter who collects miniature tea sets. The tea set is beautiful as is the box but the latch to the box does not work very well.

Alexander Doll Cloth Precious Pinkalicious Collection Storyland Series 18″ Overview

There may be such a thing as too much pink but not when it comes to Madame Alexander. Based on the best-selling HarperCollins book written and illustrated by the dynamic duo team of sisters Victoria and Elizabeth Kann. Pinkalicious is an 18′ cloth doll with black dot eyes, has a very furry brown head that has two pigtails stitched on behind the ears and a gold crown stitched onto the front her sweet head. The pink in Pinkalicious is apparent by her dress. Pink, pink, pink .the dress has a pink Lycra bodice with silver metallic stippling, short puffed sleeves that are gathered at the edge and trimmed with pink lace as well as a dark pink bow at the center of the neck. The skirt, pink satin, has dark pink lace stitched on horizontally to create stripes. Her Pinkalicious wings are light over dark pink. Of course! As for shoes, hers are dark pink satin that are stitched onto her feet along with pink ribbons that are stitched on to create a criss-cross pattern on the shoes. White step-ins and a wand that has a star mounted on a tan fabric base and embellished with attached strips of dark pink satin ribbon completes her Pinkalicious look.

My granddaughter has enjoyed our stories of Pinkalicious over and over. SHe has enjoyed having her own Pinkalicious to hold while we read the stories. The doll adds more ‘realism’ to the story books.

I would have to agree with the other reviewers. I bought 3 of the 4 dolls (pajama, striped shirt, and yellow rain coat) I have to say these look amazing. Loved the movie, . . loved it. I have a true die hard appreciation of the art of putting together a movie like Coraline. These dolls are deffinitely not for playing with. The hands came off of one of my dolls when me and my 7 year old were playing house with them. I had to super glue them back on. Also if the doll hits a hard surface on her face the paint WILL come off the nose. With all that said I’m still not sorry I bought them. They are so cute on my desk. I love the size scale and the quirky expressions on their faces. I wish that the stands were more stable and that the hair was not plastic but more wig like but then this doll would probably cost a heck of a lot more if that were the case. I know that they probably won’t but it would be nice if they could come out with more dolls this scale from the movie, . .like the mother, father, other mother, . . oh and I’d love a cat.
